About L’OEIL D’OODAAQ
The festival creates an artistic itinerary which links different art forms, but also cultural institutions with popular cultural places and public space. The festival seeks to confront the different forms of images in contemporary art.
The screening nights will be an opportunity to present international video art selections, curated by L’Œil d’Oodaaq, or by our partners (from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Colombia, but also Rennes), on the walls of the city center.
The exhibitions will be held at Les Ateliers du Vent, Standards gallery, espace M, L’Antre-Temps gallery and Superstrat gallery. They will become places of experimentation on the undefined limits of the medium video, bringing together visual and spatial installations, photography, drawings, traces of performances.
Performance art will be highlighted during a special performance night at Le Jardin Moderne.
Like last year, curious strollers can discover videos in several shop windows in the streets of the city-center.
Two roundtables will be organized on the questions of poetic images (at the European Art School in Rennes) and international (video) art networks (at the Maison Internationale in Rennes).
The Oodaaq crew hopes to meet you on this poetic itinerary through the city of Rennes!
