Sylvia Toy St. Louis
I am a middle-class, African-American housewife who makes movies in my livingroom. I develop stories; create sets, makeup, costuming and sound/music; and do post all solo. I have exhibited internationally since 2008 and been a fulltime filmmaker since 2015. I have a B.A. in Art/English from the University of Nebraska. My awards: Grand Jury Award in L.A. Neo Noir Film Festival and Hon. Mention/Cinematography in Creative Arts Film Festival. From 1985-2010, I was a touring theater artist and a professional sculptor.
